저는 지난 15년이 넘는 시간동안안 아일랜드, 케냐, 스페인, 시에라리온, 남아프리카공화국, 그리고 스위스에서 다양한 문화를 경험하며 살아왔습니다. 각 나라의 풍경과 사람들은 제 시야를 넓혀주었지만, 시간이 지날수록 한국에 대한 그리움이 깊어졌습니다.
한국 문화원에서 근무하는 동안은 한류 행사와 미술&공예 전시를 기획하며, 문화가 국경을 넘어 사람들을 연결한다는 사실을 다시금 느꼈습니다. 그 경험은 한국 공예를 세계에 알리고 싶다는 마음으로 이어졌습니다.
보자기는 감싸는 문화입니다. 예를 갖춘 선물, 배려의 마음, 그리고 재사용 가능한 친환경 포장으로서 오늘날 다시 주목받아야 할 가치입니다. 스위스 보자기는 보자기를 통해 지속 가능하고 실용적인 일상의 방식을 제안합니다.
이 여정은 스위스에서 시작되었고 현지 기관들과의 협업을 바탕으로 성장하고 있습니다. 앞으로는 본 여정이 한국 및 유럽 여러 도시에서도 우리리 공예와 보자기 문화를 알리는 활동으로 확장될 것입니다.

SWISS BOJAGI
For over 15 years, I have lived in Ireland, Kenya, Spain, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Switzerland, experiencing diverse cultures. Each place broadened my perspective, but over time, my longing for Korea grew stronger.
While organizing Korean cultural events and craft exhibitions at the Korean Cultural Center, I saw how culture connects people beyond borders. That experience led me to share Korean crafts with the world.
Bojagi is a culture of wrapping. It carries respect, care, and the spirit of thoughtful giving. As a reusable and eco-friendly form of packaging, it holds renewed value today. Swiss Bojagi offers a sustainable and practical way of living through this tradition.
This journey began in Switzerland, but it will expand through collaborations across major European cities to introduce Korean crafts and the art of bojagi.
Through bojagi, I invite you to explore new possibilities in wrapping and experience the beauty of Korean craft in everyday life.

KOREA BOJAGI ART ASSOCIATION SWITZERLAND
Founded in 2017, the Korean Bojagi Art Association is the largest bojagi artist group in Korea. Since 2024, the Switzerland chapter has worked in collaboration with the main association.
It offers certified educational programs covering bojagi’s history and practical techniques, sharing the art of bojagi with the world.
